With Tropical Storm Edouard approaching and wind gusts expected to increase, residents are reminded that boats and other marine vessels are not permitted to be tied off to the District’s bulkhead. This restriction always applies and is particularly critical during storm conditions.
Securing vessels to the bulkhead during a storm places significant additional stress on the structure and can lead to failures that leave properties exposed to tidal surge and wave damage.
